Kerala Blasters got the glimpse of a warm-up during the Yaris Laliga World two months back. Although they also did not get positive results, the experience from the two matches is sure to help them. The entire squad then left for Thailand in the early September and played two practice matches with positive results.

With less than the month to go for the new season to kick-off, people take a look at how the teams shaped up concerning their overseas signings. Here, let’s take a look at the seven foreigners who will turn out for the side.

Knowing the new foreign player’s list:

The 1.92m tall central defender from Serbia will continue with Kerala Blasters. Even after featuring in 12 matches last season in the ISL. The 27-year-old can simply play as the left-back as well and will be a versatile option for David James.

The 34-year-old French center-back comes to Kochi from the Greek side Apollon Pontou. He spent most of his career in Greece. And this will be the first stint in Asia. He names as a vice-captain of the side. And he will look to lend his experience to the team.

The young Ugandan midfielder joined Kerala Blasters during January transfer window last season. He impressed in the handful of appearances, and he was before suffering from an injury. The Kerala Blasters fans will expect the lot from the 21-year-old this time around.

The lack of the solid midfielder was a great concern for Kerala Blasters last season, and the Serbian midfielder is expected to address those. This 26-year-old man spent his career at Greece, Serbia, Sweden and Faroe Islands and now made his foray to India.

The Ghanaian attacking midfielder was the ever-present figure for the Kerala Blasters last season. Though the team failed to qualify for the playoffs, his lively displays did catch the eye. The fans will be hoping this 23-year-old kicks on a level or two this season.

Adding to the Serbian contingent at Blasters is 29-year-old striker Slavisa Stojanovic. He comes from the Serbian club Radnicki Nis where he scored remarkable ten goals in 31 league appearances. His unenviable task of replacing Iain Hume up proves as the front for the Blasters.
